We are a small town counseling practice located in Oakdale and Sonora, CA, serving Stanislaus County, Tuolumne County and surrounding areas. Our practice embraces the culture of small town communities and values the importance of relationship building, hospitality, collaboration, and community. These values are deeply rooted within the culture of our office and service to our clients, as we are committed to providing quality, confidential services.

Select webinars are provided in partnership with the Columbia College FKCE Program and developed for Resource Family Approval (RFA) parents and applicants. However, webinars are open for all caregivers, educators, and other participants to attend.

Small Town Counseling is privately owned by Alyssa Najera, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #86618). Alyssa is a licensed mental health professional, organization trainer and consultant, Child Welfare Services (CWS) Social Worker and Supervisor Alumni, and CEO of Alyssa Najera Training and Consulting, a company dedicated to providing professional organizations with clinically-informed training and support services. With personal roots in Escalon, CA and professional roots in Stanislaus and Tuolumne County, Alyssa has a deep love and appreciation for small towns, values the power of community, and is committed to providing quality services that meet the mental health needs of our community.
